With the holiday season approaching, we often reflect on what we are grateful for and appreciate spending time with our family and friends. It is with this sense of gratitude that Helios hosts its annual coat drive to help keep those experiencing difficult times warm throughout the cold winter months.
With the generosity of our friends, family, colleagues and clients, we were able to donate more than 1,800 coats last year making up 25 percent of the total coats collected by the Hunter Mill Coat Closet. In order for us to meet an even greater need this year, we would greatly appreciate your participation in the coat drive benefiting the local homeless.
Participation is really quite simple.
Do you have any old coats taking up space in your hall closets at home? Are you working in an office where you could host a collection box for donations? We have found that the coat drive is an easy way to get employees engaged and excited about giving back. For instance at Helios, we split up into teams and have a friendly competition to see who can collect the most coats.
If you are willing to commit to our annual Coat Drive benefiting Cornerstones and the Hunter Mill Coat Closet, Helios will take care of the heavy lifting. We will provide you with co-branded flyers and will happily pick up your coats throughout the month of December. Any level of participation that you can provide is greatly appreciated.
