20 Years of Teamwork: Celebrating a Helios HR Milestone [with video]

When you start a new business, you do so knowing that the odds are against you. Two-thirds of startups don't survive more than two years. To find ourselves still growing and expanding after two decades is an incredible and humbling feeling. 

How did Helios HR make it this far? It all comes down to one thing: people. We've built an amazing team over the years, and have formed partnerships with some of the most remarkable business leaders throughout the U.S. and abroad.  

It's extraordinary to look back and think of how much the world has changed since Helios HR took its first steps towards helping business leaders solve their HR and recruiting challenges. 

The world has changed so much since then early days of Helios HR. Back when our journey began... 

• Nobody had an iPhone
• Facebook didn't exist, because Mark Zuckerberg was still in high school
• Watching Netflix meant ordering a DVD through the mail
• Remote Work was something that only traveling salespeople did
• Sending a document to a client involved a walk to the fax machine

We’ve also seen some really meaningful social changes. The Me Too and Black Lives Matter movements of recent years have kickstarted a long-overdue conversation about diversity, equality, and inclusion.

At Helios HR, we are proud to have tackled the challenge of DE&I head-on. Our Conscious Inclusion and Belonging committee is an internal initiative in which the whole team plays a part. We work together to help each other see the opportunities and challenges of the journey towards equality. As a team, we explore how we can each make an impact in our own way. That allows us to help our partners to be better, more inclusive employers. 

It all begins and ends with people. Our “bring your whole self to work” philosophy and culture of caring is what attracts and sustains our team.  And the passion with which they engage in their roles is infectious.  By working together, we've helped leaders elevate their culture and enabled them to build their own amazing teams.
